The ʔuuʔaałuk ƛusmit Research Program was developed to address the need for social, economic, and ecological considerations in BC fisheries.

This uniquely diverse team has worked together to create novel and innovative research, which was presented at the 2024 American Fisheries Society Conference in Honolulu, Hawai’i.

Bringing design and communications strategy to The ʔuuʔaałuk ƛusmit Research Program has been integral to bridging the knowledge gap for community members, policymakers, governments, and others. This work communicates complex ideas to sway policies, inform managers, and educate the greater public.

Design and communication have brought additional funding and recognition to the project, which will help this good work continue into the future and hopefully shape fisheries management in BC.
